Traveling with Mobility Devices and Bulky Items
Metro’s Guidelines and Video for Strollers, Bikes and Bags
Large and Bulky Items
Large items are allowed if they can be safely secured and do not block the aisles. Metro Connect allows packages and bags that you and a personal care assistant can handle in one trip.
Mobility Devices
Items that can be folded, such as strollers or carts, should be folded before boarding. Wheelchairs should be locked and secured for safety reasons while the bus is moving.
Bikes
All Metro buses have racks mounted on the front of the bus and bikes should be secured there. The racks can accommodate tires that are two inches or less.
Watch our Guide to Ride video for more tips about how to store large items while riding the bus, as well as more information about bus etiquette.
