Bus Schedules, Maps and Booking
Where You Can Go, How to Book a Ride and Metro Connect Video
Metro offers different service options to accommodate rides in the greater Kalamazoo area.
Regular Bus Service
Schedules are a great reference to all the places you can go on a Metro bus and can be found on our Routes & Schedules page. Once there, you also will see links to the Track My Bus tool for desktop and myStop mobile app, both with trip planning features that include maps, schedules, route information and service alerts. You can view and download a PDF map of all the routes, too. (Note, this map requires the Adobe PDF Reader on your device.) Announcements regarding schedule changes and route closures can be found on the Metro social media accounts, including Facebook and X. Bus rides are not booked in advance, but you can purchase a ride ahead of time using tokens or passes. You have the option to pay in exact cash when you board the bus. To get details about purchasing tokens and passes, visit our Fares page.
Metro Link Service
What if you need a ride that is not on a Metro bus route? A convenient and affordable option is Metro Link, which allows you to request on-demand rides similarly to a rideshare service. The first step to using Metro Link is to download the app. Once you have set up an account and are signed in on your device, you will be able to plan and book a trip. Simply enter in the pick-up and drop-off locations. You will see all the available ride options and can select the one that works best for you. Payment is made through the app using a transit token, or your credit or debit card. If you don’t have a smartphone, you can book a ride by calling (269) 388-6373.
Metro Connect Service
Another option for getting around is Metro Connect, which is a shared-ride service that is available to anyone in Kalamazoo County. To use this service, you need to register in advance. Once you are in the system, you can call (269) 350-2970 to schedule a ride. Visit the Metro Connect page for details, including how to register, the cost to ride and available subscriptions. You also can watch the video below to learn more or call (269) 337-8222 if you have questions.
